Qualification Overview

The Qualifi Level 7 Diploma in Risk Management is an in-depth programme designed to provide learners with the essential skills and knowledge required to manage organisational risks effectively. Throughout the course, participants will explore key topics such as ISO standard harmonisation programmes, organisational strategy and risk planning, contemporary issues in corporate social responsibility (CSR) risk management systems, and the various risk financing options available to organisations.

Learners will also develop the ability to assess an organisation’s market position using a variety of analytical tools and will learn how to formulate a robust risk management plan to mitigate potential threats. The curriculum further covers advanced mathematical models, including Value at Risk (VaR), Conditional Value at Risk (CVaR), and Entropic Value at Risk (EVaR). Additionally, participants will gain practical experience in designing and developing a research proposal on a risk management topic of their choice.

Entry Requirements

Approved centres are responsible for reviewing and making decisions as to applicants’ ability to complete the learning programme successfully and meet the demands of the qualification. The initial assessment by the centre will need to consider the support that is readily available or can be made available to meet individual learner needs as appropriate.

The qualification has been designed to be accessible without artificial barriers that restrict access. For this qualification, applicants must be aged 19 or over.

In the case of applicants whose first language is not English, then IELTS 6 (or equivalent) is required. International qualifications will be checked for appropriate enrolment to UK higher education postgraduate programmes where applicable. Applicants are normally required to produce two supporting references, at least one of which should preferably be academic.
