Qualification Overview

The purpose of the QUALIFI Level 5 Extended Diploma in Networking and Cyber Security is to equip learners with an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of networking and cybersecurity principles.

The units for this qualification have been drawn from the following existing Qualifi qualifications:

Qualifi Level 5 Diploma in IT – Networking (603/4792/2)

It is anticipated that learners who successfully complete this qualification will develop a broader knowledge of cybersecurity and acquire the skills to implement secure networking systems, mitigating potential risks.

Upon successful completion of the QUALIFI Level 5 Extended Diploma in Networking and Cyber Security, learners will have the opportunity to advance to higher-level studies or pursue relevant employment.

Entry Requirements

Approved centres are responsible for assessing and determining whether an applicant has the capability to successfully complete the learning programme and meet the qualification’s requirements. During the initial assessment, the centre must evaluate the support readily available or that can be arranged to accommodate individual learner needs, where appropriate.
This qualification has been designed to be accessible, free from unnecessary barriers that could limit participation. To enrol, applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
For applicants whose first language is not English, an IELTS score of 6.0 (or an equivalent qualification) is required. Where applicable, international qualifications will be verified to ensure they meet the entry requirements for UK higher education postgraduate programmes. Applicants are typically expected to provide two supporting references, at least one of which should ideally be academic.
