Qualification Overview

This qualification is designed to offer a clear career pathway for learners seeking to develop a comprehensive foundation of knowledge and skills, preparing them for diverse roles within the IT industry—particularly in .NET programming, system administration, and network security. Additionally, learners will gain insights into entrepreneurship within a technology-driven environment.

The qualification is flexible, allowing learners to choose from elective modules in networking, web design, or e-commerce—the latter being highly sought after in today’s business landscape.

Upon successful completion, learners will acquire technical skills and knowledge that are internationally recognised and in demand. The diploma is accredited at Level 5 and carries a total equivalence of 120 credits.

Entry Requirements

Approved Centres are responsible for assessing and determining whether an applicant is capable of successfully completing the learning programme and meeting the qualification’s requirements. During the initial assessment, the centre must evaluate the support readily available or that can be arranged to accommodate individual learner needs, where appropriate.

The qualification has been designed to be accessible, with no unnecessary barriers to entry. However, applicants must be at least 18 years old to enrol.

For applicants whose first language is not English, an IELTS score of 6.0 (or an equivalent qualification) is required. International qualifications will be verified to ensure they meet the entry requirements for UK higher education postgraduate programmes, where relevant. Additionally, applicants are typically expected to provide two supporting references, at least one of which should ideally be academic.
