Entry Requirements

  • Approved centres are responsible for assessing applicants’ suitability to successfully complete the learning programme and meet the qualification requirements. As part of the initial assessment, centres must evaluate the support available—or that can be arranged—to accommodate individual learner needs where necessary.
  • This qualification has been designed to be accessible, with no unnecessary barriers to entry. To enrol, applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • For non-native English speakers, an IELTS score of 6.0 (or an equivalent qualification) is required. International qualifications will be verified to ensure they meet the standards for entry onto UK higher education postgraduate programmes, where relevant. Applicants are typically expected to provide two references, at least one of which should ideally be academic.
  • In exceptional cases, applicants with significant relevant experience but no formal qualifications may be considered. They will be required to attend an interview and demonstrate their ability to meet the demands of the qualification.
