Qualification Overview

This suite of qualifications is designed to equip learners with a comprehensive understanding of coaching and its vital role in promoting health. Learners will develop practical, industry-relevant skills for a career in professional coaching, encompassing executive coaching, business coaching, mentoring, leadership, as well as nutrition, health, and wellbeing coaching.

These qualifications are particularly suited to professionals advancing from holistic and complementary therapies, those in leadership or corporate wellbeing roles, and healthcare practitioners seeking to enhance their current practice with client-centred coaching.

Upon successful completion of either the QUALIFI Level 5 Diploma in Nutrition and Health Coaching or the QUALIFI Level 5 Diploma in Coaching for Lifestyle and Wellbeing Management, learners will gain valuable occupational skills for employment, further study, or degree progression.

Graduates also have the opportunity to attain prestigious industry accreditations and recognition from leading bodies, including the International Coach Federation (ICF), the UK and International Health Coaching Association (UKIHCA), and the Personalised Care Institute (PCI).

To achieve this qualification 9 units must be successfully completed. This includes 6 mandatory units and at least 3 optional units, to achieve a minimum of 68 credits

  10. The Gut and Microbiome: Study the physiology of the gut and its connections to both physical and mental health conditions.
  11. Non-Diet Approach to Coaching: Discover the benefits of a non-diet coaching approach for fostering positive body image and healthy relationships with food.
  12. Nutrition Psychology, Food Choices and Eating Habits: Examine the psychology behind eating habits, food behaviours, and preferences to support clients more effectively in food coaching.
  13. Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Nutrition: Learn the basic principles of Ayurvedic medicine and practices for balancing health and wellbeing.
  14. Sports Nutrition for Optimal Performance: Understand the specific nutritional and fuelling needs of athletes and active individuals.
  15. Botanical Healing: An Introduction to Herbal Medicine: Explore the foundational principles of herbal medicine and the role of plant-based remedies in health and wellbeing.

Entry Requirements

Approved Centres are responsible for reviewing and making decisions as to the applicant’s ability to complete the learning programme successfully and meet the demands of the qualification. The initial assessment by the centre will need to consider the support that is readily available or can be made available to meet individual learner needs as appropriate.

The qualification has been designed to be accessible without artificial barriers that restrict access. For this qualification, applicants must be aged 18 or over.
