The objective of the QUALIFI Level 5 Diploma in Accounting and Finance is to equip learners with a comprehensive understanding of management accounting and finance, as well as their significance in business. Learners will acquire practical skills essential for pursuing a career in business financial management.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Financial theories and working capital management and the management of an organisation’s global financial risk;
  2. Corporate governance relating to financial planning and control, the economic and financial environment in general and potential investment appraisal;
  3. Organizational business assets management and the preparation of financial reports;
  4. The principles of taxation and the requirements of personal and business tax;
  5. People management in organizations throughout the human resources (HR) cycle;
  6. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in business.

Entry Requirements

  1. Approved Centres are responsible for assessing applicants’ suitability to successfully complete the learning programme and meet the qualification’s requirements. During the initial assessment, centres must evaluate the support available or that can be arranged to accommodate individual learner needs.
  2. This qualification has been designed to be inclusive, with no unnecessary barriers to entry. To enrol, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and hold a Level 4 qualification in a relevant field, such as the QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Accounting and Finance. In exceptional cases, learners with substantial professional experience but no formal qualifications may be considered, provided the QUALIFI Approved Centre is confident in their ability to meet the programme’s demands.
  3. For applicants whose first language is not English, an IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) is required. International qualifications will be reviewed to ensure they meet the entry requirements for UK higher education postgraduate programmes, where relevant. Applicants are also typically expected to submit two supporting references, at least one of which should preferably be academic.
